There can't be many tennis clubs enjoying such a beautiful setting
as at The club boasts 6 grass courts of the highest quality, 4 shale courts and 2 floodlit articial grass courts. A further 4 tarmac courts belonging to the local school, immediately adjacent to the club, are also available for use out of school hours.Much tennis is played at the club which has two full time coaches, Bill Brown, former Davis Cup player and County Development Officer and Malcolm Sidwell whose main responsibility is the development of junior players and short tennis. The club successfully runs a multitude of senior and junior teams and is very supportive of junior development with many players now in County and Area teams and boxes. We regard a positive and friendly club spirit as vitally important. Social activities abound such as quizzes, discos, horse-race nights, skittles, barbecues and other celebrations of a seasonal nature. The well maintained clubhouse and friendly, well supplied bar are run by club members which assists this process. |

The club is known as The Archery - though this sport has not been practised here for many years. It is an active, vibrant and friendly facility which welcomes new members. Mike Roberts, Club Chairman, April 2002. |
